Also, thank you everyone who bought my book, A Story of the West, in 2012. I am deeply grateful for your support.
This two headed and six pawed cat is actually two brothers, Elliott and Chomper. I guess they didn't realize that the cat bed was made for only one. This picture was taken years ago. Chomper is still with us, but Elliott is gone.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. When we went out to feed I wanted to get some good shots of horses and mountains, but no one wanted to pose.
Boomer started walking towards me, but then turned back to the hay.
Nope, they weren't the least bit interested in the beautiful blue sky with the snow covered mountains.
So I had to let the mountains carry the pictures yet again.
Cante seems to be a fairly normal dog, but he's got a rasta side that is rarely seen.
This photo was taken a couple years ago when he had his first dread. He decorated it with burrs and then stuck some of Huka's white hair on the bottom for fringe. It was pretty cool looking. Here he is sitting on the sofa next to Tom, one of his favorite places to be.
The dread eventually fell off.
It took a while, but by this fall he had grown out another one. I had the idea of decorating it, but one morning I spied it hanging off the living room door. He likes to sleep next to the door and apparently caught it on this little hook on the bottom of the door and ripped it out. I should probably do something with that hook since it's no longer being used.
Cante will probably have another dread in a couple of years, because that's the kind of guy he is.

Love the "two headed and six pawed cat" looks like a loveable pair, hard when they aren't together anymore...what a stunning view of the mountains you've got!!!
It must be bedtime. I actually believed the "two headed, six pawed cat" bit for a fleeting moment. Uhmm, I wonder what I'll dream about tonight. . .
Beautiful photos, Susan.
Those mountains sure can speak for themselves, Susan! So beautiful! Love the two headed cat photo, I fell for it for a minute, too. :)
I recently caught my 2 tuxedos sleeping in the same bed, which is not normal. And I somehow managed to get a picture too!! I love it when they squeeze into the same space. And I totally understand the doggy dreads. One of my Aussie's gets them as well. I really need to take her to the groomer more often!
Beautiful mountains, sky and snow! It is so pretty there.
What a beautiful dog!!!
